Drum/Percussion Weeks

Led by John Dalton Ages: 5–10 years This energetic and hands-on workshop is the perfect introduction to the world of rhythm and drumming for kids ages 5–10. Throughout the week students will explore a variety of percussion instruments from hand drums and vibraphone to snare drum and full drum set, while developing core rhythm skills through listening, movement, and play. They’ll practice reading rhythms, learn by ear, and even help compose an original piece to perform at the end of the week. With activities designed to engage beginners and challenge more advanced young drummers, this workshop welcomes all levels and makes space for every student to shine.
