Piano, Voice
Kathleen brings a lifetime of musical passion and extensive teaching experience to her studio. A dedicated jazz vocalist, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Voice from Granite State College and a Master's in Education from Lesley University. Her studies include work with jazz legends Sheila Jordan and Jay Clayton, Berklee College of Music professors Mili Bermejo and Dr. Mark Shilansky, and certification in Jeanie LoVetri's Somatic Voicework through the Shenandoah Vocal Institute.
What sets Kathleen apart is her additional Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Deaf Education, training that allows her to work effectively with students of all abilities and ages, creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment where every voice matters.
A devoted lover of Brazilian music, Kathleen continues her own studies with Rio's vocal master Andrea Dutra and pianist Deborah Levy, modeling lifelong learning for her students. Whether teaching voice, piano, or the intricate beauty of Bossa Nova and Samba, Kathleen creates lessons that are warm, engaging, and tailored to each student's goals.
An active performer in the Boston area and beyond, Kathleen doesn't just teach music, she lives it.
