Patrick Gaulin

Pat Gaulin is a Texas native, and alumnus of Loyola University in New Orleans. While in NOLA, Pat studied classical percussion with Jim Atwood of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, and drum set with Wayne Moreau & local legend Johnny Vidacovich.

 

He continued his studies at Berklee College of Music, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a diploma in Professional Music. During his time at Berklee, Pat studied with Terri Lynn Carrington, Kim Plainfield, Yoron Israel, Mark Walker, Bob Gullotti, Joe Hunt & many others.

 

He is now a force on the Boston scene as a bandleader, sideman & educator. The Pat Gaulin Trio, his flagship group, recently featured Alexei Tsiganov on piano, and John Lockwood on bass.
