Peter Lehman
Lute, Mandolin, Guitar, Ensemble Eclectica
Peter plays plucked strings – the theorbo, Renaissance lute and mandolin, as well as 7-string jazz guitar. All demand different techniques, read from different notations, and represent a wide variety of musical styles. Peter founded and performs with the fusion group Ensemble Eclectica – breaking down barriers and forging his own unique approach.
Peter holds performance degrees from Ithaca College School of Music and the New England Conservatory, where many moons ago he received a Masters in the Performance of Early Music. Further post graduate studies were at the Scola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland with Hopkinson Smith and Eugen Dombois.
