Yuka Hamano Hunt

Yuka Hamano Hunt was born in Japan. She received her Bachelor of Music in Composition from the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo, and her Jazz and Classical Piano Performance Diploma from the Berklee College of Music. Her mentors include Ed Bedner, Koichi Uzaki, Terry Bernhard, and Michael Weiss.
Yuka has performed throughout New England as a soloist, and with SKY Chamber Ensemble, playing original compositions and 20th Century classical music. She has performed with Studio Musica, a classical chamber trio. Her husband Joe Hunt is a well known jazz drummer with whom she performs currently. They’ve played concerts in Vermont and the Boston area, played at The Top of The Hub, The Lilypad, and her trio appeared on local TV.

Yuka has been teaching piano lessons for many years in the greater
Boston area. These experiences have helped to make her a first rate
teacher, and she enjoys teaching students of all ages.
